Ruth Ann Hattori, a partner in ThinkSmart LLC, has justposted a fascianting essay on the cost of not innovating.  There is perenial management focus on the costs of inovating, but is that not asking the wrong question?  Whast is the cost of not pursuing new value creation, delivery, and capture?  Think of all the companies lost to history or on their way out such as Koday, HP, and Sears.  You don't want to be among them.
